Can We Learn From The French?


I read a really interesting article on the BBC the other week about how French people are faring well against the Credit Crunch. In summary the article states that French Banks, and French people are cautious when it comes to money and spending. French Banks are particularly careful about who they lend their money to, and French consumers do not have the Laissez-Faire attitude towards spending that we by and large have in this country. It was interesting to note that one dual nationality citizen explained that "Generally in France you spend what you have and not more." I think that more people in the UK may be taking this attitude in future...
